The AEG Lavatherm 56609 Exclusiv Dryer has some known problems that occur often. Here are some easy to do solutions for the problems or error codes your AEG might be giving you.

1. Z EMPTY WATER indicator

The condensate container is full.

2. U CLEAN FILTER indicator

The fluff filter is clogged and needs cleaning.

3. E OPERATING indicator

The appliance is switched on and in operation.

4. The dryer is not working

Possible causes include the electric mains plug not connected, the START button not pressed, no program set, fill-in door open, or a blown fuse.

5. Unsatisfactory drying result

Causes can include selecting the wrong program, a clogged fluff filter, a covered heat exchanger, incorrect laundry amount, insufficiently drained laundry, or blocked ventilation slits.

6. The drying process takes unusually long

The heat exchanger may be covered with fluff, or the fluff filter is clogged.

7. The fill-in door cannot be closed

The fluff filter is not inserted and/or the filter lid is not latched.

8. The drum illumination is not functioning

The program selector is set to OFF or the filament bulb is defective.
